Who am I?
I am a Product Designer👩🏻💻 looking for different experiences and being inspired by them. With that same passion, I graduated with a Masters in Computer Science with a focus on Human Computer Interaction from University of Florida and am currently working as a UX designer at Atos.
I was also a Research Assistant at the Embodied Learning and Experience Lab at the university for over a year wherein I studed innovative methods to encourage different learning methods for children and adults. Previously, I was a User Experience Design Intern at Luxe Beauty Pros. leading the design for a Business Management Dashboard for the company.
Design Mindset
I create digital products that align with the mental model of the user. I firmly believe that framing the focus statement through the user lens is the first step to solving the problem. It's also my responsibility to create a UI that is aesthetically pleasing and delightful to use along with creating a product that fulfills all the user requirements.
As a software engineer turned UX designer, I understand the dependencies of development and I tend to perform well in multi-disciplinary teams. I am a person that enjoys a collaborative environment and creating designs which are born out of intense brainstorming sessions.
Background
Being a doctor's daughter👨🏻⚕️ the first thing I was taught was to empathize with others and help them in any way I can. For two consecutive summers, I volunteered at a school for specially-abled children. Working alongside these kids taught me how to be happy and made me realize that I wanted to be a person who brings about change in other people's lives, one day at a time.
My interest in psychology and the constant nagging of my right brain brought me to User Experience in my junior year. I started exploring this domain through front end development first (Computer Engineer, duh!💻) and then finally User Experience Design.
Outside of design
I am a music enthusiast🎼 and love to play guitar🎸 and keyboard. In my leisure time, I like to read📖, dance💃🏼, and play video games🎮. I am currently -
